Terry O’Neill

Born in 1938 in the East End of London, Terry O’Neill’s career began at the tender age of 22, as the youngest photographer with the Daily Sketch.

It didn’t take long for O’Neill to get noticed. He was soon freelancing for Vogue, Paris Match and Rolling Stone magazines. During this time, he worked alongside iconic photographers David Bailey, Terence Donovan and Patrick Lichfield, who helped create the celebrity images that defined the “Swinging London” era of the 1960s.

From the 1970s on, O’Neill’s Hollywood film connections helped contribute to his immense success internationally. He photographed major celebrities, from the Beatles and the Rolling Stones to the Royal family and other Hollywood stars.
